ANNUAL WINGS APPEAL
The ROYAL AIR FORCES ASSOCIATION, RAMSGATE and BROADSTAIRS BRANCH collects for its charitable aims in the WEEK which includes Battle of Britain Day (15 September) and Battle of Britain Sunday (the first Sunday after the 15th). During this week we are out collecting at various venues around Ramsgate %26 Broadstairs. Our local Air Training Corps Squadron also goes out collecting from door to door.
You can ask why is this necessary when the state should look after the needy, they do, but we in the RAFA can do more. We can offer respite breaks, financial help in times of need, commradeship and advice on a multitude of subjects. BUT for all this we need money and that is where our Annual Wings Appeal comes in.
RAFA finds the general public most generous during this week of collecting, although we welcome donations at any time through the year. For all of this we are most truly grateful that through your generosity we can help those that are less fortunate than ourselves
